2024 Ohio Business Brokers Spring Conference

The 2024 Spring Business Brokers Conference, held at Der Dutchman in Bellville, OH and hosted by NOBBA & OBBA, was an enriching and successful event. Gathering from 9 AM to 4 PM, attendees were treated to a full day of networking and education, highlighted by three distinguished keynote speakers.

Dominic Frisina, an esteemed attorney from Buckingham Doolittle & Burroughs, took the stage to unravel the complexities of managing intellectual property in M&A transactions. His insights into software, patents, trademarks, websites, and due diligence provided invaluable guidance to all present.

Richard Hammons & JR Runion of Heritage Wealth Partners shared invaluable knowledge about the Deferred Sales Trust (DST), offering a strategic approach for seller clients to defer capital gains tax over time, a topic of keen interest to many in attendance.

The exploration of artificial intelligence (AI) by George Wellmer of Tupelo CRM shed light on the rapidly evolving landscape of AI and its profound impact on businesses. Attendees gained insights into leveraging AI to optimize operations, enhance service standards, and seize new business opportunities.

Attendees also enjoyed delightful refreshments, including Coffee & Pastries in the morning and a sumptuous buffet lunch featuring comfort foods, a fresh salad bar, and the renowned pies of Der Dutchman.  The event was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Buckingham Doolittle & Burroughs, Heritage Wealth, Live Oak Bank, and ClientsIO.
