Educational Activities
NOBBA hosts educational events appropriate for our mutual interest in serving the small business community especially in regard to the sale and purchase of businesses. These events are held on the last Wednesday of most months from 11:30AM to 1:00PM, at Slyman's Tavern in Independence, where we purchase lunch and network with each other.

NOBBA is a great place to meet and network with experienced business advisors from a variety of disciplines. Within the membership of the association one will find a wealth of knowledge and referral opportunities amongst the many brokers, intermediaries, and professional affiliate members. NOBBA’s events are carefully designed to encourage some fun and comradery that becomes fertile ground for referrals. The process of buying and selling businesses requires a team of professionals and NOBBA is a great place to assemble that team.
Member Profile
All members will be granted a profile page on the website located at nobba.org so that our membership, as well as the public, may connect with them as needed. Our business broker members will also receive some exposure for their business listing engagements through the well-known web-based business listing service BizBuySell (BBS). Brokers with an existing BBS account need only connect their BBS BrokerWorks accounts to the NOBBA portal and members without a BBS account can also enter their listings.
Co-Brokering Opportunities
The association also strives to create an environment fertile with opportunities for brokers to co-broke their business offerings. Co-brokering is encouraged but not insisted upon or regulated by the association. It is understood that in the state of Ohio, the decision to co-broker with another of our members is entirely optional and often has as much to do with the relationship between those two brokers as it does the needs of our clients. Brokers will often discuss their business offerings with the association as it is understood that the conversations about these offerings are held in strict confidence. Members and guests are asked to sign statements of Non-disclosure to remind us all of the confidential nature of the majority of our work.
