NOBBA's Membership Types

The Northern Ohio Business Brokers Association is comprised of many different membership types.

All of our members assist their clients in confidentially valuing, selling, and buying privately held businesses. Our members also assist in exit strategy planning, business financing, legal and accounting. If you are seeking assistance in buying, or selling, a business with the help of an experienced business professional such as a business intermediary, you are in the right place.

Bill White Jr. has been a broker with Murphy Business Sales for 10 years having learned the business from his father William White Sr. who has been a broker out of Hudson Ohio for 30 years. The Whites act as Regional Developers for Murphy Business Sales covering a territory over all of Ohio and several states. Murphy Business Sales is one of the largest and best-known business brokerage companies in the United States and Canada. We are always striving for “Excellence in Business Transactions” by bringing our experience and expertise to the table utilizing our time-tested proprietary process designed to earn our client’s trust by completing successful, confidential transactions. Over the past 10 years Bill has worked extensively with many industries including restaurants, retail, manufacturing, distribution and the trades. Bill also specializes in the area of franchise re-sales, having carefully navigated the balance between his client’s needs and their franchisors’ requirements.

Bill White Jr. is a member of the IBBA, OBBA, and President of the NOBBA (Northern Ohio Business Brokers Association). Bill also carries the BCI Designation, (Board Certified Intermediary). Bill has a degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University and has worked as a franchise restaurant owner and operator.

Joe Wojtowicz

Joe Wojtowicz, the association’s Treasurer has two areas of expertise; the first as a busines broker and owner of the Youngstown Murphy Business Sales franchise as well as with his SBA financing boutique BizLoanFunding. Joe has been a member of the association for over two decades.

In August, 2020, Joe marked 48 years in the lending industry having worked for national lenders for 36 years in both consumer and commercial lending. In 2009, he started his own independent U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Guaranteed Loan consulting and placement firm, www. BizLoanFunding.com, and today still works with small businesses nationwide primarily in SBA business acquisition funding. He has been doing business acquisition funding since the SBA allowed the financing of the intangible asset, goodwill, back in the 1990’s and estimates he’s participated in well over 125 business acquisitions over the past 25 years.

With his experience in business acquisitions, Joe also became a Murphy Business Sales business broker five years ago and holds the designation, Certified Mergers and Acquisitions Intermediary (CMAI), commercial real estate / business consultant for lower middle-market enterprises and main street style businesses.

Joe holds a BA degree in Economics & Business and has taken numerous courses and training over the years in related coursework for both the lending and business sales industry. In addition, he also has an Ohio real estate and life insurance license. Over the years, he volunteered in various officer positions with a number of local community service organizations.

Ellen Zerucha

Ellen Zerucha is President of Agency Professionals Business Brokerage LLC. Agency Professionals provides buy and sell side business brokerage to low and middle market (<=$25M revenue) businesses. Ellen specializes in industrial manufacturing companies. She is also licensed in commercial real estate.

Prior to forming Agency Professionals, Ellen served her clients as a licensed commercial real estate associate with Coldwell Banker Commercial, focusing on areas such as office, industrial, and retail leasing and acquisition/disposition.

Before joining Coldwell Banker, Ellen was Senior Vice-President of Marketing and Strategy Development for Tremco Inc., an RPM Company. Ellen engaged with national and international architects, construction management firms, consultants, and engineers relative to building materials and the design and construction of air and watertight structures. In this role, Ellen prospected domestic and international companies for possible acquisitions or strategic partnerships. She played a key role in the acquisition of ~$60M combined businesses.

Ellen earned her B.S. in Marketing from the University of Akron and her MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She has completed executive training at the Army War College, Cornell University, Northwestern University, and the Center for Creative Leadership.

She is an Advisory Board member for Cleveland Central Catholic High School, and a NOBBA board member.

Mike Snider

Mike brings a dedicated 30-year financial service career in mergers and acquisitions, business lending, retirement planning, and real estate. In his banking career, Mike was responsible for a multi-million-dollar loan portfolio for a super-regional bank. He managed the department with a team of commercial lenders assisting business owners with operating lines of credit, equipment loans, commercial real estate loans, SBA lending and treasury management services. Mike initiated and led a project joining the business banking team with the wealth advisor team to work together for the business owners. He conducted seminars on business valuation while educating owners on how to preserve and grow balance sheet strength and value. From this experience he saw firsthand the need to help business owners in the specialized area of exit planning with business sales & acquisitions.

Because of the specialized knowledge and skills required in this field, Mike pursued and earned a Certified Exit Planning Advisor certification through the Exit Planning Institute. Mike currently sits on the board of the Cleveland Chapter of the Exit Planning Institute. In addition to the CEPA designation, Mike has an Ohio Real Estate License and has held licenses in Insurance, Securities, and Mortgage Banking. He earned a BA in Accounting from Walsh University. Mike is a current business and commercial real estate owner.

Romona Davis

Romona Davis is a highly experienced SBA Lender who has provided financial solutions to countless clients. She began her career in commercial banking in 1988 upon graduation from Clark/Atlanta University. In 2000, Romona was promoted to an SBA Underwriter and accepted her first SBA Lender’s role in 2001.

During her twenty-year tenure in SBA, Romona has assisted Clients, Bankers, COIs and Business Brokers with business startups, franchise financing, debt refinancing, business expansion, mergers and acquisitions, owner occupied commercial real estate purchases, and working capital needs.

Her experience as an underwriter and lender has allowed her to serve as an SBA Consultant where she thinks outside of the box to offer creative SBA loan structures. While her geographic focus is primarily Northeastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania; Romona can provide financial solutions to borrowers throughout Huntington Bank’s ten-state footprint.

Romona is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and received an MBA from Clark/Atlanta. In addition, she is the recipient of numerous awards including the Crain’s Cleveland Women of Note, SBA Small Business Advocate of the Year (Cleveland, Ohio District), and Northern Illinois University CHANCE Award. Romona has written numerous SBA articles as well as served as an SBA panelist for countless organizations.
